Converting 8mm & Super 8 to Other Digital Formats

Most customers transfer their 8mm film to DVD or BluRay. Some want both. Many times there are some family members that only have a DVD player while others have moved up to BluRay. BluRay has twice the resolution, so we do recommend BluRay but sometimes you may need a DVD for those other members of your family that only have a DVD player. We can transfer 8mm film to DVD, AVI files, Blu-Ray, HD-AVI, ProRes 422 and DPX. We can transfer Super 8 film to DVD, AVI files, Blu-Ray, HD-AVI, ProRes 422 and DPX. If you are looking for the best 8mm film conversion, then you found the best company that can give you the best quality.

We are the premiere film scanning company in the USA scanning all type of film (8mm, super 8, 16mm and 35mm) up to 4K resolution. Film is old (50-60 years old on average) and it shrinks over time. Today if you run your film on a projector or low-end film transfer machine you will damage the film. Make sure your film is being scanned on a professional film scanner (> $100,000) that doesn't use the sprocket holes to move the film through. If NASA trusts us to scan their moon footage and SpaceX trusts us to scan their first launch to the international space station you can trust us to scan your amateur or professional film.

We offer more output options than any other professional film scanning company. You can have your 8mm film to digital conversion put on DVD, BluRay, digital viewing files like MP4 or output to full editing files like ProRes, AVI or DPX. We also offer super 8 film conversion services all over the world including Europe, Canada and Asia. But, we don't stop there. We also offer film restoration to bring back the original colors, remove film grain and stabilize the image.

City Fun Facts for Gaithersburg

Gaithersburg Fun Facts: Incorporated in 1878, Gaithersburg was named after Benjamin Gaither, an early resident of the area who built a house in 1802 at the site of the city's famous Forest Oak tree; a landmark which lived to be about 300 years old before its demise at the hands of a severe storm in 1997. In 1899 the Gaithersburg Latitude Observatory was built and along with five others like it around the world, was used to gather information for measuring the earth's polar motion and determining its size, shape, and physical properties. The year 1961 saw the move of the National Bureau of Standards (now known as the National Institute of Standards and Technology) into Gaithersburg, creating a complex which maintains standards for scientific research and houses the standard meter and kilogram to which all others are compared for accuracy. Other science-related firms soon followed suit, giving the city the nickname of "Science Capital of the United States".

Maryland Fun Facts: Annapolis, the state capital, is also home to the United States Naval Academy. Maryland is the leading producer of blue crabs and is renowned for its crab cakes. One of the original 13 colonies, Maryland lies at the center of the Eastern Seaboard, amid the great commercial and population complex that stretches from Maine to Virginia. Its small size belies the great diversity of its landscapes and ways of life that they foster, from the low-lying and water-oriented Eastern Shore and Chesapeake Bay area, through the metropolitan Baltimore, its largest city, to the forested Appalachian foothills and mountains of its western reaches.
