8mm film does degrade over time and most 8mm film today is over 60 years old. It only has 5-10 years left. This is why it is extremely important that you transfer your 8mm film to DVD, BluRay or digital video files while you still can. And, like anything, there is a wide difference in quality from a wide range of companies.

Better Film Tranfer Equipment

We are a low volume, high quality film scanning company with the sole focus on quality. Our machines range from $100,000 to $400,000. You wont find any modified projectors and camcorders, real-time or frame by frame machines in our professional 8mm film to video offerings. We only use strictly professional equipment. So, if you are looking for the best quality film transfer, you found it! For our amateur film customers, we offer many different choices to transfer your 8mm film to DVD, BluRay or digital video files for editing including DPX. You won't find any company in offering these high quality services. No worries. Send it to us and you'll have it back in less than 2 weeks.

The most important part in any film transfer is the initial scan of the 8mm film. If the initial film scan was done with a projector and camcorder or frame by frame machine, the image is not going to truly represent the film. In some cases it might only get 40% to 60% of the image quality. In fact if you had your 8mm film converted to VHS years ago and can still watch your film on a projector you need to compare the two side by side. You'll see that the VHS is a very poor copy of the 8mm film. It will only have about 40-50% of the quality of the 8mm film. So, If you really want to archive your 8mm film to DVD or other digital video formats, our professional 8mm film transfer machines will certainly meet your needs. We can scan 8mm film up to 2K (1556) lines of resolution. You wont find any other company offering a 2K scan of your 8mm film. So, if you want the best, look no further.

Time is critical. We can still scan 8mm film from the 1950's to 1970's to high quality digital formats. In some cases, we can still scan 8mm film from the 1930's and 1940's as well. The time has come to preserve your family history. There is no better time. This is an excellent opportunity to pass your precious memories to your family's newest generation. But hurry — this sale ends
