As an option you can have us captured any mono or stereo magnetic analog or optical analog sound on copy from super 8 to dvd. We can capture 8mm or Super 8 single or dual magnetic tracks, 16mm magnetic, 16mm optical and 35mm optical sound.
We can not capture any digital audio like Dolby Digital or Sony Dynamic Digital Sound.

16mm Sound Film Example
16mm sound film came in many different varieties. This is just one example. In general, 16mm film with sound will only have sprocket holes on 1 side. The other side carries the sound strip. The sound strip can come in other colors like blue & silver.
Many companies can't capture sound from the film, but Film Transfer Company can. We can capture the sound from your transfer from super 8 to dvd .
Regular 8 film generally does not have sound. There were some people that put a magnetic sound strip on 8mm film themselves. Kodak also had some test 8mm film they used for Super 8 sound prior to the launch.
Even though Super 8 film was sold in two versions, sound and silent, most Super 8 film is silent. Only about 5% of all Super 8 movie film has sound on it. Some film has a second stripe called a balance stripe that could carry stereo sound
